A simple trick that my dad did is to cover the touchpad with a post-it or a small paper so you won’t touch it while typing. I believe if it runs 7 it can run 8 and 10, the requirements haven’t changed. Driver support will be your only issue, and many manufacturers don’t update them for older machines.
Make sure you keep your drivers up to date in the future. In case your find using the Device Manager a bit complicated, you can try using automatic driver software to make the process painless and quick. In case the system cannot find any available updates, then you can try to update the driver manually. For this, you will have to first download an updated version of your driver from the manufacturer’s website and then install it via Device Manager. If your operating system is already up-to-date, then it might be your printer driver that has become incompatible with your system due to being outdated or corrupt. There can be quite a few reasons as to why this happened.
Browse to, then select the driver.inf file for your printer. From the list of discovered printers, select your printer. Click the “View devices and printers” link under Hardware and Sound. When Windows finishes installing the file for you, reboot your computer and test your printer to see if the issue is fixed. Locate the printer device, right-click it, and select “Update driver”.
This is a good answer to list all the printer drivers. How would one find the version number for said drivers? It’d useful when trying to identify if a specific version is already installed or not. Most of the printer drivers are built-in in the operating system.
