Born and raised in Glasgow, Jamie studied Architecture at Strathclyde University and Interior Design at Glasgow School of Art. He became a stagehand at Citizen’s theatre in 1993.
In 1995 he bcame an art department assistant at Scottish Television where he worked on a variety of dramas, children’s programs and magazine shows, learning how an art department functions.
He has been a standy by art director for BBC for many years, has art directed features and ads, worked extensively in events and promos, and has acted as Production Designer on short films, BBC series and comedy dramas, both in London and Glasgow.
His latest projects are ‘The Machine’- “perfect, heartbreaking… the best film at Tribeca 2013” (Sound on Sight), and as Art Director on ‘Let Us Prey’, a horror feature filmed in Ireland, and ‘Generation Z’ filmed in Majorca.
He has bases in Glasgow and London and enjoys working all over the UK and abroad.
